1. Who we are
Postiz byjos.dev is a self-hosted social media management application available at https://postiz.byjos.dev. It is used to connect authorized social media accounts, plan content, and publish posts.
The operator of this integration is Łukasz Byjoś. For privacy questions, requests concerning your personal data, or data deletion requests, contact lostfound@byjos.dev.
This notice applies to data processed through the Postiz byjos.dev integration, including its connection with Instagram and other social platforms. It does not replace the separate privacy notices of Meta, Instagram, TikTok, or other platforms.
2. Data we may process
Depending on the platform, permissions granted, and features used, the integration may process:
- Social account identifiers, usernames, profile information and related account metadata.
- Authorization tokens and technical information needed to maintain a connection to the platform.
- Posts, captions, images, videos, publishing schedules and publication status.
- Account insights, engagement statistics and other analytics available through authorized platform APIs.
- Comments or other engagement information only if relevant features are enabled and authorized.
- Technical information and logs necessary to operate, troubleshoot and secure the service.
Social account passwords are entered with the social platform's own authorization flow, not into Postiz as part of that connection.
3. Why we process data
We use this data only as needed to authenticate authorized accounts, prepare, schedule and publish requested content, retrieve authorized analytics, manage integrations and maintain service security.
Where applicable under data protection law, processing is based on the legitimate interests of the operator and authorized account owners in operating and securing the service, and on consent or other appropriate legal grounds where required.
4. How data is shared and stored
Information is processed by the self-hosted Postiz installation and exchanged with the relevant social media provider through its API when necessary to perform authorized actions. Hosting, network and infrastructure providers may process limited technical data required to deliver and protect the service.
We do not sell personal data or use information received through social platform APIs for unrelated advertising.
The handling of information by Meta or other social media providers is subject to their own privacy policies and terms.
5. Data retention
Account connections, authorization credentials and content are retained for as long as needed to provide the requested functions or until they are removed or access is revoked, subject to operational, security or legal retention requirements. Relevant backups and logs may be retained for a limited additional period.
6. Your rights and how to request deletion
You may disconnect the linked account within Postiz, where that option is available, or revoke the application's authorization in your Instagram, Meta or other connected platform account settings.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data processed by this integration, contact lostfound@byjos.dev with the subject Postiz privacy request. Please identify the relevant connected account without providing your password or access token.
We will review and address requests in accordance with applicable data protection law. Disconnecting an account or revoking authorization may stop future API access but may not automatically remove all existing drafts, stored media, logs or backups; you can request deletion of those records separately.
Where applicable, you may also have rights to data portability, to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
7. Security
We use access controls and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the integration and its stored data. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Changes
We may update this notice if the integration, data handling practices or applicable requirements change. The date at the top indicates the latest update.
